    Heather Jarvis is an attorney and a nationally recognized expert specializing in student loan law. She has provided award-winning student loan education and consultation for universities, associations and professional advisors since 2006 and is sought after for her sophisticated knowledge and accessible teaching style. Widely recognized as an expert source of information, Ms. Jarvis has advised congressional committee members and administrative officials on issues affecting student loan borrowers since 2005. Ms. Jarvis recently completed service on the American Bar Association’s Task Force on Financing Legal Education. She graduated cum laude from Duke University School of Law.

    Kaya Ladejobi is a Certified Financial Planner who started her financial services career approximately 10 years ago serving high net-worth clients at one of the most prestigious firms in the industry. He is widely recognized as a trusted authority in the area of college planning and funding, and is frequently asked to speak to professional groups and parents to demystify the college financial aid process.     Jennifer Faherty is a CFP®, Certified Coach and the Founder of Financial Wealth-being. She specializes in helping clients "live within their means" while still living "a life of their dreams. Her mission is to provide guidance in a way that's accessible, affordable and holistic, with an emphasis on Budgeting, Financial Literacy/Wellness and helping clients develop the right mindset and behaviors to accomplish their goals. She works primarily with aspiring entrepreneurs, young professionals, and independent women. Jennifer graduated from Dartmouth College (B.A.) and Columbia University (M.A.). Outside of work, she is a busy mom of three, is an avid reader and traveler, and has a peculiar obsession with High Tea. She also volunteers at a non-profit education center, is a trained hospice caregiver, and is proud to have run two marathons back in the day. Jennifer is thrilled to be part of the XYPN community.

    Travis Brewer, CFP®, VP, Business Consulting, TD Ameritrade Institutional, Business Planning and Firm Strategy As a business consultant with TD Ameritrade Institutional (TDAI), Travis consults with advisors on various practice management areas such as human capital, operational efficiency, client experience, and firm strategy. Prior to joining TD Ameritrade Institutional in February of 2016, Travis worked at HD Vest Financial Services, an independent Broker/Dealer based in Irving, TX. During his 17 years at HD Vest, he managed an advisor training program and consulted with advisors looking for guidance on planning and executing a succession strategy. Travis grew up on, and continues to be involved with, a farm and ranch in southwest Oklahoma. Travis is a graduate of Oklahoma City University. When not working, he enjoys time with his wife and their three children, ages seven, four, and the youngest who turns two in December.

    Shawn Tydlaska is a CFP Pro and is dedicated to empowering young professionals (ages 25-45) to understand and take control over their financial lives. In May of 2016, Shawn launched Ballast Point Financial Planning, a fee-only firm to provide his clients peace of mind around money so they can focus on the things they love in their lives. Shawn holds a BA in Economics with a minor in Education from UCLA and an MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. Shawn lives in the Bay Area with his wife Jen and dog Coop.

    Jennifer Pritchard has been working for 4 RIAs as a virtual associate advisor since May of 2016. She has a degree in Personal Financial Planning from Texas Tech University and holds the Certified Financial Planning (CFP) designation. She is also on the board of the Financial Planning Association of Houston where she oversees events for the Nexgen group. As a virtual associate advisor, Jennifer has many tasks including attending client meetings, preparing client deliverables, data gathering and data entry, and developing efficient and scalable processes. She has created workflows and communication systems among the 4 planners so that they can work efficiently and are able to scale their businesses. She oversees the implementation of the processes and ensures that everything is running smoothly.

    Deborah Meyer, CPA, CFP® is a fee-only financial planner in greater Saint Louis and founder of WorthyNest.  Her professional mission is to educate and empower families to make great financial decisions.  She is a proud member of XY Planning Network, NAPFA, the AICPA, Ellevate Network, and Brazen Power Growth Groups. Deb is also a contributor to Kiplinger and Investopedia's Advisor Insights. Deb Meyer's career began in public accounting at big 4 firm Deloitte. She assisted small business owners and families with tax compliance and consulting needs.  Thereafter, Deb served families of significant wealth for nearly seven years at Matter Family Office. She became an entrepreneur in 2014 with the launch of SV CPA Services.

    Meg Bartelt, CFP®, MS, is the founder and president of Flow Financial Planning, LLC, a financial planning firm that helps women in tech cultivate financial and professional strength. The tech industry provides wonderful financial opportunities: high salaries, great employee benefits, stock compensation, and so on. But it can also be a hard place for women to succeed. Meg understands the importance of career success to her clients' financial success. So she focuses not only on her clients' finances, but also on strategies for growing their careers...which in turn creates better financial opportunities. Prior to becoming a financial planner, Meg worked in the software industry in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 10 years.

    Philip Olson and his wife Julia co-Founded "The Art of Finance" - A fee-only planning firm for helping artists and creatives take charge of their finances. Philip's background is in theater and public performance (UT Graduate Theater & Dance). He worked as a struggling actor and theater teacher for years before gaining an internship at Metlife Securities. Philip and Julia use their creative background to create education videos for online, blogging, and educational speaking events.

    Jennifer Mastrud is tasked with sharing the movement at XYPN as Director of Marketing. Her expertise is in branding, marketing, and public relations. She’s as passionate about the XYPN message as she is about innovating new ways to share it. Before joining XYPN, Jen accumulated several years of experience representing national brands in diverse sectors including technology, gaming, TV, and education. She’s based in Minnesota, but travels frequently to warm up.
  2. Stephen Alred
    Stephen Alred first joined XYPN as a member. After working with the team on smaller projects, he was hooked. He now serves as the Director of Advisor Success. He’s worked with multiple companies inside and outside of the financial services industry, specifically in helping them design their marketing and technology strategies. When he’s not working, you can find Stephen in Atlanta, GA attending a startup event, reading a book at a random coffee shop, or diving into new experiences with his wife Erin.
  3. Arlene Moss
    Arlene Moss works with XYPN members to provide a group experience that she offers to individuals and teams through her own coaching firm. Through a blend of encouragement, accountability, and systematic improvements, she helps advisors turn their entrepreneurial passions into thriving practices and businesses She’s dedicated to helping XYPN members and her own clients learn to communicate more effectively and demonstrate their value so that more clients get to benefit from their services. When Arlene isn’t helping the XYPN gang, you can find her nudging and nurturing her financial planner clients at Kimberlite Coaching or relaxing with her family, skiing, and biking.
  4. Scott Gill
    Scott Gill is a licensed Securities Principal with experience in both RIA and broker-dealer compliance. He began his financial services career in 2006 as a Registered Representative with E*Trade Financial in Alpharetta, GA. He has also worked with J.P. Morgan Private Banking in Chicago, IL and with Wells Fargo Advisors in Chapel Hill, NC. Scott’s most recent role before joining Team XYPN was as Compliance Officer of Carolinas Investment Consulting, in Charlotte NC. He’s a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and holds FINRA Series 63, 65, 24, 4 and 53 Licenses. Scott lives in Charlotte NC with his wife Meredith, and their two Sons Tyson and Jackson. In his free time, Scott enjoys watching sports, exercising, and operating the charitable organization he created upon his father’s passing.

    Melissa Ellis made a career change to personal financial planning in October 2008, just in time for the bumpy ride the Market took that year. Melissa enjoys working with people and helping them achieve their financial goals. "It's my goal to help my clients live well by helping them develop financial independence. I do this by building a personalized financial plan for each client to help them achieve their goals. It's very rewarding to know that you are helping your clients to be able to sleep better at night because they have their finances in order." Melissa is a Certified Financial Planner and earned her M.S. Personal Financial Planning from the University of Missouri - Columbia. Melissa is a member of the Greater Kansas City chapter of the Financial Planning Association and joined the XY Planning Network in September 2016. When Melissa is not working, she enjoys traveling with her husband, Doug. Melissa has traveled to all 50 states, throughout Europe, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.

    Cary Cates, MBA, CFP®, EA, is the owner of Cates Tax Advisory and an adjunct professor of finance at the University of North Texas. He lives in Denton, TX, with his wife of 13 years and two young daughters. Cates Tax Advisory specializes in providing tax planning and advice so clients can keep their hard-earned money out of Uncle Sam's coffers.
  3. Tim Hale
    Tim Hale is the founder and owner of Hale Financial Solutions, a financial planning firm focused on helping busy, working families grow their wealth by making smart financial decisions, specifically with their 401(k)s. He recently moved his family to their dream home of Star Valley, Wyoming, where he works remotely helping families across the country. Tim earned his MBA from the University of Utah and undergrad from BYU-Idaho. He dares you to test him on his Seinfeld trivia.
  4. Justin Waller
    After being recruited by a nationally known financial planning firm in early 2000, Justin Waller was promoted to training manager before the end of the year. He obtained his Certified Financial Planner designation in the spring of 2003. After spending several years in a fee-based structure, he became a fee-only planner in 2009. He started his own firm in late 2014 to provide more independence and flexibility so that he could better serve his clients. He purchased two partial practices and attempted to buy into an existing practice.

    Daniel Wrenne has worked as a financial planner in Lexington KY since 2005. In 2014, he founded Wrenne Financial Planning to cut out all the conflicts of interest and better serve his clientele of young physicians. Ultimately, he loves helping others be their best financially. Daniel's goal is to build a multi-advisor regional planning firm that sparks positive change in the lives of the clients they serve. He's also motivated to help change financial planning from an industry into a respected profession.
  2. Pam Horack
    Pam Horack makes financial planning simple. For over 20 years, she has worked in a variety of roles including customer relations, management and training and development roles in several banking, brokerage and mortgage companies. Pam's focus on financial education has helped her develop a style of taking complex financial ideas and making them simple to understand and implement. At Pathfinder Planning, she developed her trademark Mom-style of dishing out financial advice in a practical but caring way. She has been quoted in a variety of online and print publications including Yahoo! Finance, Parents Magazine, CNBC Online, Investment News and the Charlotte Observer. 'Your Financial Mom' at Pathfinder Planning LLC provides personal financial planning advice and asset management for a simple fee to young adults and working families through group classes, one-on-one planning engagements, and ongoing advice.
  3. Carol Craigie
    Carol Craigie is a psychologist turned financial planner who has a long history in financial services. She served as Director of Financial Planning at Wells Fargo, JP Morgan Chase and Key Bank where she introduced and expanded financial planning services across their diverse segments. When she retired from institutions, she became a professor at the College for Financial Planning, writing textbooks and is considered an expert in both financial planning and behavioral economics. She founded Fitness Clubs of America to bring financial planning to the masses on a low cost, profitable model. Together with Catalina Franco-Cicero, her partner, they create programs that integrate how people make decisions, with knowledge and coaching to change behaviors and create a problem-solving mindset as a financial wellness program.
  4. Vid Ponnapalli
    Vid Ponnapalli is the founder and president of Unique Financial Advisors. He provides customized financial planning and investment management services for Generation X professionals. Vid believes today's financial planning need is under-served by traditional financial planning methods, mainly due to minimum income or net worth levels requirements. Vid's goal is to contribute and change this paradigm. So, after a 20+ years career in financial services industry, Vid launched Unique Financial Advisors in 2014. Vid and his wife, Maha live in Holmdel, New Jersey. Their three boys graduated out of college and are on their path to settling down in life. When Vid is not working on Financial Planning, he enjoys hiking, skiing, and spending time with family.

    Brad Bond has been providing financial planning and investment advice for 20 years, and was previously an engineer. He works in-person and virtually with individuals and families at various life and career stages. He also works with people who are managing the financial issues of transitioning from one career to another, who have inherited money, or are recently widowed. Brad is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER Practitioner, Chartered Financial Analyst®, Accredited Investment Fiduciary®, and is Enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service.
  2. Sanjay Jain MD MBA
    Sanjay Jain MD MBA is an accomplished doctor and bestselling author who has always had a passion for financial well-being. As you may know, doctors traditionally have the reputation for being poor money managers and he supported that theory by some of this earlier financial misadventures. However, from lessons learned and through vigorous education via his MBA and series 65, Sanjay has sought out to help other physicians in distress as well as those who need some financial guidance. He just recently opened his RIA for this very purpose. His other passion is online digital marketing as he has experience from several various marketing initiatives such as social media, webinars, speaking engagements, etc. He has also worked with traditional media with experience on live radio and television and has been on ABC, NBC, and ESPN radio just to name a few.

    Courtney Ranstrom co-founded Trailhead Planners, LLC, with her brother, Morgan Ranstrom, in 2016. They focus on offering holistic financial planning and socially responsible investing. Prior to that, they were with a $130 million AUM RIA. Courtney is a Certified Financial Planner(R) and has an MBA from Willamette University. She spent the first four years of her career as an Internal Auditor for Oregon's Department of Human Services and a large regional bank in Oregon. She lives in Portland, Oregon, with her husband, two-year-old daughter, and two Cardigan Corgis.

    Eric Roberge, CFP® is the founder of Beyond Your Hammock, where he helps people in their 30s and 40s turn their income into financial freedom. His goal is to help you achieve financial clarity, make mindful and informed decisions, and use your money as a tool to design a life you love. In 2016, InvestmentNews named Eric to their exclusive 40 Under 40 list, Wealth Management Magazine called him one of the top 10 CFPs under 36, and Financial Advisor Magazine said he was one of the top 10 Young Advisors to Watch.
